15 km from our Puyregonde site, L'étang de Beynac # BEYNAC LAKE is located in the beautiful Dordogne in Saint Saud Lacoussière (24).
It is a lake of about 6 hectares on a complex of more than 50 hectares! With a very special shape and fishing stations giving you the opportunity to test and improve your fishing techniques. The lake gives you all the freedom to make your own experience. You are in the middle of the woods and you are one with nature. The depths vary between 1 and 4.5 meters and this gives you many challenges to catch beautiful and big fish. You will find several overhanging trees, reedbeds and other nice spots for fishing. There may be grass here and there, but it is absolutely not problematic for fishing and catches. The bottom consists largely of gravel and a few soft muddy patches, an ideal habitat to enjoy the peace and nature that is only interrupted by rough runs and howling beeps.
The lake record currently stands at no less than 33.5 kg.At the moment there are around 350 carp (10 carp over 30kg, 50 carp over 25kg, 100 carp over 20kg and around 200 carp between 10 and 20kg)
